The United States Government moved to end De Minimis imports around July 2027, Sadly President Trump used an Executive Order to end this much sooner, August 29th 2025, with less than a months notice.
What's De Minimis? This is the value of goods that can be imported and not pay Tax, Duty or any Fees on, for the USA, this was a hearty $800 - one of the highest in the world.
Currently, USA based customers will be expected to pay a flat rate $80 per package imported, this in itself is temporary, lasting 6 months, or whenever individual mail & courier companies figure out how to collect and pass on Tax.
As of August 25th, Royal Mail will suspend services, meaning we cannot send any orders until everyone figures out how we can keep shipping.
Supposedly Royal Mail are working on releasing a PDDP (Postal Duty Delivered Paid) System in the coming weeks that will allow us to collect tax (10% of your order value) and remit this on your behalf, avoiding the punitive $80 fee and any delays through customs.
Personally, I love our American Customers, you're all a huge part of my Business and I hope this ends up being a temporary blip.
